Sandy Weidner, career politician, has been on the Racine City Council for many years now, more than most of her fellow aldermen. She is part of the "mess" she refers to in most all of her fake news articles and ads. She prefers to govern by referendum as opposed to being the elected official who knows their constituents and votes with their majority. You might as well not have a mayor or aldermen if referendums are how you prefer to govern.
My question— Can Weidner fight for Racine and its needs at the state level? A mayor needs to be aware of how our state government works to improve its cities and counties. A mayor needs to be able to respectfully and rationally speak to people from all walks of life, all political parties, in order to get things done for their diverse and varied constituents in their city. A mayor needs to know how to plan for the future of all city residents and to be able to come to the table with a perspective that is not restricted by animosity, political ties and pessimism.
Cory Mason is my candidate and I hope he will be yours too.
