These are exciting times in Racine County, especially in Mount Pleasant with Foxconn coming. The work has begun but there is so much more to do in the months to come. It will take leaders willing and able to devote their time and their best effort to make this work for all of Mount Pleasant.
Four leaders have stepped up to do the job for us: Anna Marie Clausen, Ram Bhatia, Bud Eastman and “Skip” Floyd Leonard. All have the time and desire to serve. And the key word is “serve” — not one of them has a personal agenda. All put the health and welfare of Mount Pleasant first.
Pay attention to what these exceptional people say and do. There will be a candidate forum. Attend and hear for yourself what I have heard from all. This is a critical time for us and putting these four on the board will break the stalemate and move us forward.
With Foxconn locating here and building the largest manufacturing plant in the world on our doorstep, the eyes of the world are upon us. Let’s make sure we have the best people representing us and making decisions that will serve us well in the future.
