We just finished celebrating the most important event in world history, the birthday of Jesus Christ.
Monument square was the perfect place to have the Nativity displayed. It was placed in front of the beautiful Christmas tree. It is a display which needs to be there every year.
A recent newspaper article stated the yearly cost of the display is approximately $2,500. This is strictly a volunteer project and all money collected goes toward fees and maintenance costs.
Since this is a nondenominational project, help is needed from all churches. A special collection called Nativity could be held any month of the year. Also, why not have Nativity collection jars in homes and businesses? Even children could have a little Nativity jar to give them the idea of supporting a worthy cause.
It is important to support the Nativity at Monument Square. Our city will be blessed as we honor the Nativity of our Lord.
Donations can be sent to any Tri-City National Bank in the Racine area. Make the check out to Christmas Coalition.
