At a time when our nation seems to divided politically, ethically and even morally, it's really heartwarming to see people from everywhere in the country pull together and write in an effort to help those so desperately in need of our aid in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
It's sad though, to think that it took such a horrific event to bring us together and make us realize we are all fellow Americans, no what our race, religion, gender or political beliefs.
Thank God we are still a caring and generous people, willing to help when things get tough. The outpouring of financial aid, food, water, etc. for flood victims proves that.
Let us remain united in our common effort to do all we can to help those who are struggling to survive rebuild their lives. They will need our help for a very long time to come.
Let's keep proving to them and to the world that the American spirit can meet any challenge, and with God's help and ours, they can face the future head on, with a "We can do it" attitude.
