SAN ANTONIO — Operation Homefront, the national nonprofit organization that provides emergency financial and other assistance to military families, is pleased to announce a new $10,000 grant from Toco Warranty Corp., a company dedicated to selling vehicle service contracts directly to consumers.
The grant will support Operation Homefront’s Emergency Assistance program, which helps military families bridge the financial gap in a crisis by offering them help with pressing needs, such as car repairs and maintenance.
“Getting around is hard when your car is being repaired, but imagine trying to get around with a significant injury, and add two to three medical appointments a day,” said said Stacey Crooks, senior director of corporate relations at Operation Homefront. “Some wounded service members do not have enough money to repair their vehicles. This donation from Toco will enable us to help more veterans and service member families meet these urgent needs.”
