A human issue

A quote from the incredible film "Sicko," by Michael Moore: "Why is it that we can find money to kill people in a war, but we can't find money to help people with their health?"

We have been receiving fire and police protection as well as library privileges for as long as I can remember at no individual cost to us. Did you know that American people who can't afford health insurance or have been denied proper care in the United States have actually gone to other countries and received free health care? Prescriptions that cost several hundred dollars here amounting to as few as 20 pills cost as little as $6 or less in many countries no matter how many you might need.

Are you aware that some of the Sept. 11 volunteers with health issues they developed by working at Ground Zero, having been ignored and denied help here, attempted to get help at the Guantanamo Bay Military Hospital in Cuba because it's an American base that provides the best free "state of the art" health care in the world for foreign prisoners? The Sept. 11 volunteers went into a Cuban hospital and with no questions asked, were provided with care they couldn't get in America plus very inexpensive meds to take home with them. You can talk socialism all you want, but facts are facts and we may well be the only rich country in this world without free health care for everyone. Let's work together and help people live full and healthy lives. Universal health care in America need not be a political issue. It should be a human issue. I encourage you to view this powerful film.

No opting out

The Baucus reform bill places government in charge of health care. There will be no opting out. Government needs premiums and taxes to pay for the "neglect" it plans to enact. The feds will set up sham companies that will act as insurance competition while taking down your insurers forever.

The New York Post prints an E. McCoy article describing seniors as clunkers. America understands medical services/devices are required to keep the aging independent: wheelchairs, hearing aids, walkers (which Obama is taxing), and doctor visits and medicines. Up to now Medicare has covered these needs. Obama's czars determine who/what/when and how the sick will obtain treatment.

Section 300 (B-683) of the health bill will dock reimbursement to your doctor 5 percent if he/she spends over the determined monies your "equation" allows for your health care. Obama will make doctors choose between patients and government penalties. The sickest will be left out. Die in hospice. Have you not read about the government hospice program?

Doctors hence must choose the line of government evidence based medicine or treat patients according to physiologic common sense.

This administration has taken over, botched or destroyed: the housing market, banking, school loans, the car industry, education. It is creating martial law, giving credence to the U.N., giving away our economy rule in a global green treaty, raising the cost of energy with cap and trade, funding Afghanistan, the nationalization of medicine at $2 trillion cost.

This Obamanation of America is straightway heading our nation to collapse and seizure. This is no time for dulcet tones to henchmen Sens. Herb Kohl and Russ Feingold.
