Watch the big game

UNION GROVE — American Legion Post 171, 1027 New St., will hold a Super Party Fundraiser at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3.

Tickets include food, one pitcher of beer or soda and viewing of the football game on television. There will be door prizes, a silent auction and ticket drop items. The grand prize is a 32-inch HDTV.

Tickets cost $12 in advance or $15 at the door. There is no charge for children ages 15 and younger with a parent. For advance tickets, call Pat Murray at (262) 878-3697 or Frank Konieska at (262) 939-3578.

Valentine's Day is just around the corner

STURTEVANT — A Valentines Sale Spectacular will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Hiawatha, 9809 Durand Ave.

Small business vendors will be represented including Man Cave, Norwex, Paparazzi, Grace Adile, Simply Fun, Passion Parties, Party Lite, Miche and Tastefully Simple. Craft vendors will also be on site and a silent auction will be held. One of the prizes is a signed Green Bay Packers football.

People may bring in their computers for a free diagnostic check from Davis IT. Gold Rush Girls will be buying gold, silver, platinum and coins.

There is no admission fee.

A portion of the proceeds will go to the Homeless Assistance Leadership Organization. For more information, call Roxanne South at (262) 344-6429 or send email to ladyglory96@yahoo.com.

Wine & Beer fundraising event

STURTEVANT — The Catholic Junior League will hold its 14th annual Wine/Beer Tasting event titled “Beach Blanket Bingo” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Fountain Banquet Hall, 8505 Durand Ave. Doors open at 6 p.m.

Wine, beer, hors d’oeuvres and desserts will be served. Live music will be provided by Acoustic Horizon and there will be a silent auction and raffles.

Tickets cost $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Tickets are available at Timer’s Liquors or by calling Joan Feil at (262) 632-9197.

Limited tickets will be available at the door. Proceeds will go to local nonprofit charities.
