CALEDONIA — Two Caledonia residents were in critical condition Friday night following a crash on Highway 38 near Brooke Road in Caledonia.
Linda Feely, 41, and Patrick Beecher, 3, were injured when their vehicle, which was traveling north, collided with a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction at 5:07 p.m. Friday, according to a Caledonia Police Department press release.
Both Feely and Beecher, of the 2800 block of Crestview Park Drive, had to be transferred by Flight for Life after the accident; Feely was taken to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa and Beecher to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, which is located adjacent to Froedtert, said Lt. Gary Larsen of the Caledonia Police Department.
Mount Pleasant resident Aaron Steckman, 27, of the 4100 block of Northwestern Avenue, was the driver of the vehicle traveling south. He also was injured during the accident and was taken to Wheaton Franciscan-All Saints hospital, 3801 Spring St., Racine, where he was reported to be in stable condition as of Friday night, according to the release.
The vehicles reportedly collided as they attempted to navigate a curve in the road, Larsen said.
The accident is under investigation by Caledonia Police and the Wisconsin State Patrol. South Shore and Oak Creek firefighters assisted Caledonia fire crews at the scene.
