RACINE COUNTY — A Racine man was arrested Monday afternoon on several drug charges, according to the Racine County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a news release, at approximately 3:50 p.m., agents from the Racine County Metro Drug Unit, Drug Enforcement Administration and members of the Racine County Swat Team executed two search warrants.
The first warrant was executed on a vehicle returning from Illinois to Racine County which was occupied by Maurice E. Jorden, 31, and a female occupant. A high-risk traffic stop was conducted. During the traffic stop, the female occupant disclosed she was carrying concealed drugs. A knotted baggie containing 12.4 grams of heroin and one knotted baggie containing 22 grams of cocaine was recovered, with a combined street value of approximately $4,000.
A second warrant was executed at Jorden’s residence in the 1600 block of Winslow Street. During the search, agents located a loaded .38-caliber handgun, handgun ammunition, a digital scale, drug packaging materials and several cell phones.
Jorden was taken to the Racine County Jail, where he was held on charges of: possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and being a keeper of a drug place for sales, as a repeat drug offender.
