HUNTLEY, ILL. - Arthur J.A. 'Bud' Brown, 62, of Sun City, Huntley, Ill., passed away suddenly Sunday, February 12, 2006.

He was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on July 8, 1943, the son of John A. and Kathleen (nee: Partridge) Brown.

Throughout his life, Bud traveled the world extensively, calling many of the places home. He worked for S.C. Johnson Wax Company in Racine for over 20 years in marketing and management. After his retirement, he settled in Sun City, Huntley, Ill. in 2001. He loved painting, fishing, photography, and cooking, but his greatest love was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include five children, Douglas (Jeanne) Brown of Hong Kong, Jeff (Dianne) Brown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Lesley (Kevin) Groth of Racine, Heather (Chad) Klamer of Aurora, Ill., and Lilia Brown of Madison; seven grandchildren, Harrison, Turner, and Mackenzie Brown, Matthew Evans, and Riley, Lola, and David Groth; two sisters, Margaret (Robert) Armstrong of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and Elizabeth Brown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A gathering of friends will be held at Drendell Ball Room, 12860 Del Web Boulevard, Huntley, Ill., on Friday, February 17, 2006, from 2 until 4 p.m. Interment will be private.
