RACINE — A Megabus was forced to pull over for about a half an hour as Racine County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a passenger for reportedly masturbating during the drive.

Patrick C. Nordeen, 21, 3700 block of Northwestern, was charged Friday with lewd and lascivious behavior, a misdemeanor, after the female passenger seated directly across from the man reported the incident to a bus employee and the deputies, according to the criminal complaint.

The woman told deputies that when she looked over at Nordeen, seated approximately 3 feet away, she noticed he was reportedly watching pornography on his computer and masturbating with his genitals exposed, according to the complaint.

Disturbed and upset, the woman got up and made a complaint to a bus employee, according to the complaint, and when she returned to her seat she alleged that Nordeen was still masturbating.

As the bus employee approached the row of seats on the second level of the bus, Nordeen allegedly put his genitals back inside of his pants but his hand remained on his genitals, according to the complaint.

At that point the Megabus, carrying about 75 passengers at the time, pulled over on Interstate 94 near Washington Avenue and deputies were dispatched.

Upon arrival, a deputy made contact with Nordeen, who was placing a computer into his backpack and reportedly said he just wanted to leave, according to the complaint. Nordeen reportedly told the deputy that he was watching pornography and asked if that was illegal.

The deputy then told Nordeen that he was being accused of masturbating on the bus and he allegedly told the deputy that he wasn’t masturbating but reportedly admitted to “just holding it,” according to the complaint.

After gathering information, the deputies reportedly determined that Nordeen indecently exposed his genitals and was engaged in lewd and lascivious behavior, according to the complaint, and was transported to Racine County Jail.

Charges against Nordeen were filed Friday in Racine County Circuit Court.

It doesn't surprise me that this type of people ride the bus. I feel bad for the drivers who have to put up with this behavior.

I really have to "hand" it to him, considering the "sticky" situation.

As disturbing as this is, the man clearly has a serious problem, I think he'll get probation, and be "requested" by the court to get some help.
