CALEDONIA — Sewer and water utility work is continuing on Highway 32 in advance of next year’s Wisconsin Department of Transportation road reconstruction project.
In a communication from Caledonia’s Department of Public Works, village officials are warning motorists about the following traffic pattern changes that will be part of the required utility adjustments:
Beginning Monday through approximately May 4, Highway 32 and Highway 31 will be closed north of Six Mile Road to Seven Mile Road. All truck traffic will need to follow the posted detour.
Water utility work will commence north of Six Mile Road to the intersection of highways 31 and 32.
Access to Ayra’s Gas Station at 7100 Douglas Ave. will be only from Highway 31 from Six Mile Road.
During this time, Highway 32 south of Six Mile Road to Four Mile Road will be open to all traffic and businesses.
Six Mile Road at Highway 32 will be open to all east and westbound traffic.
The overall project is expected to last into June.
