BARABOO — The Aldo Leopold Writing Contest is available to all students enrolled in grades nine through 12 in public, private and home schools in Wisconsin.
Aldo Leopold loved the land and its wildness. Students are asked to describe a place in nature that they love. Why is it wild to you? Only one entry is accepted per person and students must submit original work.
The top three ninth- and 10th-grade essays and the top three 11th- and 12th-grade essays each will be awarded $200. Winners will be invited to attend an award ceremony at the Leopold Center in Baraboo on May 19.
