Concert has local students
RIPON — Gabriella Mraz and Isabella Mraz were among Ripon College Symphonic Wind Ensemble students who performed in the newly renovated Demmer Recital Hall in C.J. Rodman Center for the Arts on April 15.
Gabriella and Isabella are the daughters of Scott and Anne Marie Mraz of Wind Lake. Gabriella is majoring in chemistry-biology and plays the tenor saxophone. Isabella is majoring in English and plays the flute.
The musical selections for the program featured Gustav Holst’s “Second Suite in F;” Richard Saucedo’s “Song of the Gandy Dancers;” Alfred Reed’s “The Hounds of Spring;” Vaclav Nelhybel’s “Chorale;” Frank Ticheli’s “Rest;” and John Philip Sousa’s “The Fairest of the Fair.”

WHITEWATER — These Racine County students presented at Undergraduate Research Day at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater:
RACINE: Berenice Beltran-Maldonado, who is studying social work and Spanish, presented the project, “What Factors Contribute to University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Students’ Perceptions of Immigrants?”; Timothy Richter, who is studying physics education, presented “High Contrast 3D Prints”; Alexander Krencisz, who is studying physics, presented “Furnace Automation Project”; Ethan Wakefield, who is studying theater, presented “Irene Ryan Scholarship Auditions”; and Jazmin Wilson, who is studying general management, presented the “Oral History of Wisconsin Farms.”
