RACINE — A Racine man is facing charges after allegedly touching an acquaintance’s teenage daughter inappropriately and sending the teen pornographic videos.
Charles T. Morgan, 36, of the 500 block of Eighth Street, is charged with misdemeanor fourth-degree sexual assault, three felony counts of causing a child over 13 to view or listen to sexual activity and three felony counts of exposing a child to harmful materials.
According to the criminal complaint:
On Monday, two Racine Police Department officers investigated a sexual assault that reportedly occurred in the 500 block of Eighth Street. A 17-year-old teen girl said Morgan allegedly touched her inappropriately while she was sleeping with the female acquaintance and Morgan.
The teen said Morgan texted her an apology, then allegedly offered her $100 not to tell anyone, the complaint said. Morgan reportedly admitted to apologizing to the teen and offering her money, but said it was because he “hugged” her too hard.
The girl also told police Morgan allegedly sent her pornographic videos. Morgan reportedly admitted to sending her the videos, but denied touching her.
Morgan is currently in custody and being held on a $3,000 cash bond, online records show. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 17 at the Law Enforcement Center, 717 Wisconsin Ave.
