CALEDONIA – A motorcyclist was sent to the hospital Friday with a leg injury after another vehicle backed into him, according to Caledonia police.

A man was backing out of his driveway and didn’t see the motorcyclist, said Sgt. Brian Wall of the Caledonia Police Department. The incident occurred at about 3:12 p.m. Friday just north of 6 Mile Road on Highway 31, Wall said. Following the collision, the 25-year-old motorcyclist was taken to the hospital, Wall said.

The man who backed into the motorcycle was cited for unsafe backing and the motorcyclist was cited for driving without a motorcycle license, Wall said.
