RACINE — A Cudahy man convicted of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old in Waterford will serve 15 years in prison.
Racine County Circuit Court Judge Allan Torhorst on Monday sentenced Thurston Todd Faulkner III to 15 years in prison and 10 years of extended supervision.
Faulkner assaulted the girl around Halloween 2010 at her relative’s house, according to his criminal complaint.
It happened inside of a home where she should have been safe, said Assistant District Attorney Robert Repischak. This behavior happened more than once, he said.
The victim’s mother reportedly overheard the girl talking and when she spoke further with the girl, the girl referred to “secrets” she had with Faulkner, according to a criminal complaint. It went on to say Faulkner touched the girl inappropriately and showed her pornographic movies.
“At 42 years old, this type of behavior I cannot justify or find any excuse for,” Torhorst said at Faulkner’s sentencing.
Torhorst said he also found it particularly aggravating that this behavior occurred while Faulkner was on extended supervision for a past child abuse conviction.
