RACINE COUNTY — Racine County Executive Jonathan Delagrave announced that applications for federal funds to supplement emergency food and shelter programs will be accepted from nonprofit agencies.
Local organizations chosen to receive funds must be nonprofit, have an accounting system and conduct an annual audit, practice nondiscrimination, have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs, have a voluntary board, and be eligible to receive federal funds.
Applications are available between 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at the United Way of Racine County, 2000 Domanik Drive, and the Western Racine County Service Center, 209 N. Main St., Burlington.
Applications must be returned to the United Way office only and must be received no later than noon Friday, Dec. 15.
