MILWAUKEE — With no resolution in the Journal Broadcast Group-Time Warner Cable contract dispute, TV station WTMJ (channel 4) remained off local cable as of Monday evening.

Area Time Warner customers have been unable to tune into Channel 4 since Thursday after no contract renewal agreement was made between the two groups.

Although the blackout started recently, the Aug. 9 preseason football game between the Green Bay Packers and the Arizona Cardinals is rapidly approaching. Racine-area viewers without an antennae may find it challenging to access that game if Journal Broadcast Group and TWC do not resolve their dispute.

Additional information on the blackout from Time Warner Cable can be found at and information from the Journal Broadcast Group can be found at

I havent had cable for years, get an antenna. My sister recently "upgraded" with a special offer from TW. She just had internet and after a phone call decided to upgrade, the deal was faster internet and basic digital cable. Their basic digital cable consisted of 27 channels which is actually 22 channels as some are local public nothing channels. She called and canceled the next day as she get more channels OTA, free and some of them are HD.

TW's business model is outdated and worthless. You want to make money TW while keeping your customer base happy? Allow people to pick and pay ONLY for the channels they want. You have legislated yourselves into this corner so do not expect us to feel bad for you.

It is an inconvenience for some. TW is also in the process of trying to lever CBS in major markets, including Milwaukee, but has dropped pursuing that network?
