On the heels of building a new dorm and remodeling the student union, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside will break ground this spring on a $38 million addition and remodeling of the Communication Arts building.
Comm Arts, as it is called, will be expanded by 70,000 square feet, and 91,000 square feet will be remodeled.
A ground-breaking ceremony is tentatively scheduled for 4 p.m. on Feb. 9 with completion scheduled for 2011. But anyone with free time and interest can attend one of several presentations at the campus this afternoon.
At 3 p.m., 4 p.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m., the campus planner and project designer will make brief presentations and answer questions about the work. Presentations will be in Main Place, just outside the entrance to the library in Wyllie Hall.
