RACINE COUNTY — Everyone has a hero. We want you to tell us about yours.

A hero can pull people from a burning building, but can also be the person who always mows an elderly neighbor’s lawn. The Journal Times is looking to recognize our community heroes by telling their stories.

To nominate a hero, send a note explaining who they are and why they are your hero to Local Editor Bridget Thoreson at bridget.thoreson@journaltimes.com or JT Heroes, Attn: Bridget Thoreson, 212 Fourth St., Racine WI 53403. Include your contact information and, if possible, the contact information for the person you are nominating.

Submissions are due Friday.
