MOUNT PLEASANT — Hospice Alliance announced it will begin accepting patients for the new Racine Hospice House on June 24.

Hospice Alliance previously had an eight-bed residential hospice facility in Kenosha County. The new Racine Hospice House is in the west wing of Lincoln Lutheran of Racine’s Becker Shoop campus at 6101 16th St. The renovation of a 3,500-square-foot area created five private patient rooms, each with home-like decor.

Hospice Alliance is an independent, community-owned, nonprofit organization serving Kenosha, Racine and eastern Walworth counties since 1981. Personalized care for patients and families who are facing life-limiting illnesses is available in the patient or loved one’s home, in care facilities and in hospice houses.

For more information, call (262) 652-4400 or visit www.hospicealliance.org.

The new Racine Hospice House, 6101 16th St., will hold a public grand opening Thursday from 4-6:30 p.m. The rain-or-shine event will include speakers, tours and refreshments. Hospice Alliance health care professionals will be available to answer questions.

Visitors are encouraged to park at Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church, 1700 S. Green Bay Road. Shuttle service will be provided for those needing assistance.
