SOMERS — The BMO Harris Noon Concert Series will feature a performance by The Oscillators at noon Friday, Oct. 13, in Bedford Concert Hall at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 900 Wood Road.
Starting out as a cover band in 2013, the primary focus of The Oscillators consisted of taking unconventional songs and reinventing them with a new spin. However, the idea of writing original music stewed in the members’ minds and within a few months the first two originals, “City Slacker” and “Free,” made their debut.
The Oscillators have been working to expand their repertoire of original compositions. With classical music, pop, folk, and hip hop all in consideration, they incorporate both traditional acoustic and contemporary instruments to create an eclectic blend with an abundance of harmony, raw beat boxing and rapping.
