SOMERS — The University of Wisconsin-Parkside Foreign Film Series continues with the 2016 Norway film, “The King’s Choice,” with six showings Thursday through Sunday, March 22-25, in the UW-Parkside Student Cinema, 900 Wood Road.
When the German war machine arrives in Oslo in 1940, Norwegian King Haakon VII must choose between signing a pact of cooperation with Hitler or refusing the virtually non-negotiable agreement, and forgoing any notion of remaining neutral in the Britain-Germany conflict and joining the fight.
Screenings are at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 5 and 8 p.m. Saturday, and 2 and 5 p.m. Sunday. Season tickets cost $27, $25 for students and seniors. Season tickets include three free guest passes.
Tickets are not sold for individual films, however, the 5 p.m. Sunday showing is a special public viewing and tickets cost $3. Go to www.uwp.edu/foreignfilms or call 262-595-2307.
