BURLINGTON — Guests will experience German food, wine, beer and entertainment at the third annual Taste of Burlington dinner to be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at Veterans Terrace, 589 Milwaukee Ave.
This year’s event takes guests on a journey through Germany, with a five-course dinner featuring paired wine from the region. The area’s top executive chefs collaborate to present an unforgettable dining experience.
Talents include Chefs Mike Lavin (Gooseberriess), Karl Ernst (BJ Wentkers) and Michelle Landess (The Waterfront). Gary Schultz of Johnson Brothers will be on hand to provide his knowledge of the evening’s beverage pairings.
Immediately following dinner, guests continue their journey with a beer tasting and live entertainment. The Squeezettes, a four-time Wisconsin Area Music Industry award winning pop group, will entertain guests. Their repertoire includes traditional polkas and waltzes, blended with pop hits from the 1950s through the ’80s, along with tunes you never thought you’d hear played on accordion.
Hosted by the Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce, proceeds fund their scholarship program, providing awards to graduating seniors at Burlington and Catholic Central high schools.
Tickets cost $125 or $950 for a table of eight. They can be purchased in advance by calling the Chamber office at 262-763-6044.
