RACINE — Downtown Racine’s sixth annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will feature everything from a Scottish pipe band to Irish dancers to wolfhounds and men in kilts. The parade steps off at noon Saturday, March 17, from the corner of State and Main streets. The parade heads south on Main Street to Sixth Street and then proceeds west on Sixth Street to City Hall.

Following the parade, contests open to all will be held at Monument Square, Main and Sixth streets. Winners will receive Downtown gift certificates. Prizes will be awarded to the child with the reddest hair, the best dressed Irish pet, the best Irish costume, the child with the most freckles and the best pair of legs in a kilt.

Green beer will be sold at Monument Square.
