RACINE — St. Joseph Catholic Church is scheduled to hold its annual Backyard Family Festival Friday through Sunday on the church grounds, 1532 N. Wisconsin St.
Each day features children's fun land area with inflatables. Wristbands will be sold at the ticket booth. Other activities include a bake sale, basket raffle, silent auction inside the cafeteria and laser tag in the gym.
The festival is scheduled to feature a Friday night fish or shrimp fry or combo dinner plate for $10, which includes "crazy taters" or fries, rye roll and ice cream. Live entertainment will be provided by the Bugs, a band that plays Beatles tunes, 1960s-era music and other genres.
On Saturday, Jessica Brown is to perform from 2:30-4:30 p.m. and then Relativity takes the stage from 6:30-10 p.m. A pork dinner for $10 includes German potato salad, green beans, sauerkraut or applesauce and rye roll.
Sunday starts with brunch for $8 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. An outdoor Mass is scheduled to take place under the main tent at 10:30 a.m. An Elvis tribute artist takes the stage shortly afterward and plays until 3:45 p.m. The silent auction closes at 2 p.m. and the basket raffle drawing is at 2:30 p.m. followed by the cash raffle drawing at 4 p.m.
Festival hours are 5-11 p.m. Friday, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. There is no admission fee.
