Horse rides were part of the Caledonia Conservancy fall picnic in 2016, and will be again at this year’s picnic, set for Saturday, Sept. 16.

CALEDONIA — The Caledonia Conservancy will host its Fall Picnic Fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at Deb and Ric Palmer’s farm, 7930 Botting Road.

The event is a celebration for everyone with an interest in nature and the outdoors, and the Caledonia Conservancy’s volunteer stewardship of the equestrian and walking trails in Caledonia.

Activities will include food served all day, hay rides, corn on the cob, a bouncy house for kids, kids’ crafts, pumpkin painting, a silent auction,a pie auction, horse rides, live music and a speech by a member of the Oneida tribe at 1 p.m. After the speech, an Native American dance will be performed, followed by a book reading about Native Americans for kids.

A suggested donation to support the conservancy’s work is $20 per family or $10 per person. Attendees should bring a dish to pass.
