BURLINGTON — Burlington’s first Autumn Festival has been rescheduled to Saturday, Oct. 21, because of the forecast for heavy rain on Oct. 14.
The festival will be held from noon to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at Wehmhoff Square Park, 355 N. Pine St.
The event will serve up seasonal activities such as a pie auction, a straw bale maze for kids and seasonal vendors. Food available will include ribs, hot dogs and chips and beverages.
Proceeds from the event will go toward building the Tri-County Fire and Rescue Training Center. Located behind the Department of Public Works, the facility will be available to the Burlington, Lyons, Wheatland, Rochester, and other rescue and fire departments.
Area firefighters will pitch in Saturday to help run the event as repayment for the facility.
