KENOSHA — The XXXI World Congress of Poets invites the public to attend a poetry reading by Ruth O’Callaghan and a performance by the King Singers from England at 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 13, at Carthage College Siebert Chapel, 2001 Alford Park Drive.
The theme for the performances will be “The Value of All Living Kingdoms.”
O’Callaghan holds the prestigious Hawthornden Fellowship and is a prize winner in international competitions. She has competed in poetry festivals and has been invited to read her poetry in many different countries. Her poems have been translated into several languages and her books, “Where Acid has Etched” and “A Lope of Time,” have sold out. O’Callaghan’s latest collection, “Goater’s Alley” (2010), has already been re-printed twice. She is now working on her fourth collection.
