RACINE — Mark Moran, guest expert on the PBS series “Antiques Roadshow,” will appraise antiques and collectibles from 9 to 11 a.m. and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 17, at the Racine Public Library, 75 Seventh St.

Items accepted for appraisal include fine art, furniture, ceramics, glassware, vintage photographs, advertising, folk art, toys, metal ware, clocks and costume jewelry. Items not accepted include all weapons including knives, coins and paper money, Beanie Babies, fine jewelry and musical instruments. Each appraisal is $15 and requires a reservation in advance. Admission to view the appraisals is $5. To reserve a seat or make an appointment for an appraisal, call (262) 886-9133. Appointments for house calls to appraise collections or large pieces of furniture are also available.

The program is sponsored by the Friends of the Racine Public Library and a portion of the proceeds will benefit the library to fund community programming and purchase new books and materials for the collection.
