Fall Plant Sale: Shepherds Ministries campus, 1805 15th Ave., Union Grove, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays, Oct. 14 and 21, and 1-5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20. Chrysanthemums and other fall perennials will be sold. Customers are encouraged to bring boxes to transport their plants home. Proceeds support the horticulture program for students with intellectual disabilities at Shepherds College.

No Price Rummage Sale: Living Faith Lutheran Church, 2915 Wright Ave. (use south entrance), 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. The sale will include a boutique with vintage, collectible and antique items, bake sale, lunch counter and scrip for sale. Proceeds will benefit Living Faith Mission & Ministries, including the Youth 2018 national youth gathering trip and the Faithworks food pantry.

Free, One, Two, Three Sale: Gregg Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 2237 Howe St., 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. Free articles of clothing will be given away. Other items, some of which are new, are priced $3 or less. There will also be $1 baked goods and $3 meatball bombers with chips.

ZooLaRoe Fundraiser: Racine Zoo, 2131 N. Main St., 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. LuLaRoe representatives will sell a wide variety of clothing including tops, dresses and leggings. Changing areas will be available. Admission to the zoo is $8, free for those wearing leggings. LuLaRoe will match proceeds and the amount will be donated to the Racine Zoo.

Puerto Rico Fundraiser: Fountain Banquet Hall, 8505 Durand Ave., Sturtevant, noon-midnight Saturday, Oct. 14. The event will include a mostaccioli dinner, bake sale, 50/50 raffle, basket raffle, gift card raffles and music. Tickets cost $12 for the meal and $10 for unlimited tap beer bracelets. Fall Pork Chop Dinner & Bake Sale: Yorkville United Methodist Church, 17645 Old Yorkville Road (elevator accessible), Union Grove, 3:30-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. The menu includes flame-grilled pork chops, baked potato with butter or sour cream, buttered corn, coleslaw, chunky applesauce, carrots and pickles, roll and butter, lemonade and coffee, and homemade pies, tortes, cakes and cupcakes. A two-chop dinner costs $13 and a one-chop dinner costs $11. A four-chop package of already-cooked pork chops is available for $15. Beer and Wine Tasting: Uncorkt, 240 Main St., 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. Choice of six beer or wine tastings and music by DJ Justin Mendez. Tickets cost $20 each or $30 per couple (two tickets purchased together). Proceeds benefit United Way of Racine County.

Bowling for Veterans: Hillside Lanes, 1400 13th St., 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 14. The event will include bowling, raffles and 50/50 raffle. The $20 fee includes three games, shoe rental and food. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin.

Rocktoberfest: Eagles Club, 319 Hamilton St., 7 p.m.-midnight Saturday, Oct. 14. The event will include live music by Lonesome Woody, Fall Hazard and Full Flavor. Admission is $10 and two nonperishable food items. Fundraiser to benefit the Veterans Outreach of Wisconsin’s James A. Peterson Veterans Village (tiny houses) and the Veterans Equine Trail Service. Taco Tuesday on a Wednesday Luncheon: Focus on Community, 510 College Ave., 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18. A taco lunch with a beverage and dessert will be served. The cost is $10. Sundaes on Wednesday with Mary Todd Lincoln: Living Faith Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 2915 Wright Ave., 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18. Jessica Michna, well-known history and theater lover, will portray Mary Todd Lincoln and discuss Abraham Lincoln's assassination. Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser: First United Methodist Church, 745 Main St., 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21. The event will include dinner and a raffle with two Packer tickets to the Nov. 6 game against the Detroit Lions. The menu, catered by Cel Heck Catering, includes tomato over angel hair pasta, a fresh green salad with Italian dressing, garlic bread and meatballs (two for adults, one for children) and a chocolate brownie for dessert, plus lemonade, water and coffee. Turkey Dinner: Union Grove United Methodist Church, 906 12th Ave, Union Grove, 4:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21. The menu will include roast turkey, whipped potatoes, gravy, stuffing, creamed green beans, corn, coleslaw, dinner rolls, cranberries, dessert (pie) and a beverage. Adults and carryouts (no beverage) cost $12. Tickets for children ages 5-10 cost $5. Children ages 4 and younger eat free. 

Barbara (Shief) Wolfe Memorial Benefit: Bourbon Legends, 2200 60th St., Kenosha, 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21. The event will include door prizes, raffles and a silent auction. Tickets cost $10 and include food and beer. Donations will be accepted. The benefit celebrates the life of Barbara (Shief) Wolfe and will raise funds for her funeral expenses.

Chili Cook Off: Kenosha History Center, 220 51st Place, Kenosha, 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21. Chili tasting will be from 6 p.m. until gone. Chili is provided by area businesses. People can taste and vote for their favorite chili for the People’s Choice Traveling Trophy. A panel of judges will also pick their favorite for the Judges Choice Trophy.

Live music will be provided by Rogers Randall and Larry Thomas. A cash bar with beer, wine, soda and water will be available. Tickets cost $12 and can be purchased at the door or in advance at www.kenoshahistorycenter.org/events. Proceeds go to help preserve Kenosha County history to educate the future.

Halloween 9 Pin No Tap Bowling Tournament: Castle Lanes, 5615 Castle Court, 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 29. People can sign up as a team or single bowlers will be paired with other singles. The $25 fee per bowler includes food. There will be prizes, a raffle and silent auction. A costume contest will also be held. Advance registration is requested by calling 262-706-3520. Proceeds will benefit the Racine Kilties Drum & Bugle Corps.
