New windows

Ninety new energy-efficient windows were installed at the Veterans Center facilities by Feldco Windows, Siding and Doors.

RACINE — Racine Area Veterans Inc., Legacy Museum and the Veterans Center in conjunction with Feldco Windows, Siding and Doors have worked together to upgrade their facilities with 90 new energy-efficient windows at 820 and 812 Main St.

Working with Chuck Haeuser, sales representative for Feldco, RAVI was able to execute a contract for the much needed window upgrade and repair.

Haeuser, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, took a personal interest in ensuring that Feldco worked closely with the Veterans Center, understanding that as a nonprofit organization in support of veterans every penny counts.

Haeuser saw working with the Veterans Center as a great opportunity for him to “pay it forward.” He hopes to help establish a veterans support program at Feldco so other Veterans can enjoy discounts on their home improvement projects.

“I am truly honored to have been involved with a project that assists local veterans and in improving a beautiful building in Racine,” said Haeuser. “Our veterans are willing to give all, and some have. It has been a great experience working with the team at the Veterans Center.”
