RACINE — The Racine Zoo, 2131 N. Main St., will hold its annual Boo at the Zoo event from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28.

Businesses may enter the trunk-or-treat event being held on conjunction with Boo at the Zoo. Trunk-or-treat is a unique twist on traditional trick-or-treat where children go from car to car and get candy and play games. Businesses and community organizations decorate their vehicles in a Halloween theme and fill the trunk with special treats such as candy and other fun items. Guidelines to participate are:

  • Participating organizations will enter the zoo from the Augusta Street gate no later than 8 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28.
  • Vehicles will setup and be decorated in a designated area on the north end of the zoo by 8:45 a.m.
  • Participants must stay in position from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Bring enough candy (palm oil free or sustainable palm oil preferred) and/or prizes for 2,000 little ghosts and goblins.
  • Costumes are encouraged.

To participate, submit an entry form at www.racinezoo.org or contact Amber Olsen, special events/sales manager, at aolsen@racinezoo.org.
