Zoo camp

Campers from a previous summer camp help feed the Racine Zoo giraffe.

RACINE — The Racine Zoo, 2131 N. Main St., is accepting registrations for Summer Camp.

Camp sessions are available to children 3 years old to those entering the seventh grade in the fall of 2018. Zoo Summer Camp sessions begin the week of June 18 and end the week of Aug. 20.

From storytime for preschool campers to our older Junior Zookeepers helping staff care for the animals, it is hoped that each child leaves camp with a deep love and respect for wildlife and wild places. Each camp will include a T-shirt, daily snack, up-close animal encounters, games, crafts, special tours and more.

Camps run daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $190 per week. Each camp session is limited to 20 campers. To register, go to www.racinezoo.org/2018-zoo-summer-camp, via mail or email to education@racinezoo.org. For an additional fee, before and after camp childcare options are available.
