RACINE — The Friends of the Racine Public Library holds a book sale year-round in the lobby of the Racine Pubic Library, 75 Seventh St.

Children's books cost 50 cents. Adult hardcovers are $1 and paperbacks are 50 cents. DVDS cost $2, compact discs cost $1 and audio books are specially priced. Like-new books (see the shelf labelled "new books") are specially priced at $5 or less.

During December, a special display table features a selection of holiday materials including novels, stories, books suitable for gift giving, CDs of Christmas music, holiday cookbooks and more.

Lobby sale gift certificates are available for $5.

Library hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Proceeds are used to support library programs and services.
