Autism Solution Pieces will hold its annual free Christmas party for special needs families from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Careers Industries, 4811 Washington Ave. (next to ShopKo).

Autism Solution Pieces (ASP) is a non-profit organization serving Racine and surrounding areas.

The annual free Christmas party for special needs families will held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Careers Industries, 4811 Washington Ave. (next to ShopKo). Participants can have their photo taken with Santa, have fun with the elfs and Frosty and do crafts while enjoying snacks.

ASP offers a monthly support group meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at Festival Foods, 5740 Washington Ave.

The ASP Club Awesome group invites all special needs families to join various social activities. The next outing is an Admirals Hockey game March 9.

These events provide a fun and safe environment for special needs individuals.

ASP’s Unite is a for older individuals with asperger’s to get together to socialize. Upcoming events include a movie outing.

ASP offers a monthly simplified worship service and Bible study geared towards special needs individuals and their families. Jesus Cares Worship is held at 10 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of each month at New Hope Lutheran Church, 5970 Douglas Ave. The Dec. 23 service will include cookie decorating followed by a meal.

A Bible study for teenagers and adults is held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month at Mount Zion Lutheran School, 5927 37th Ave., Kenosha.

ASP will be helping out at the Tim Tebow Night to Shine Prom from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Shoreland Lutheran High School, 9026 12th St., Somers. For more information, call 262-859-2595.

Autism Solution Pieces also has a grant program each year where families can request funds for therapies, treatment or equipment not covered by insurance.

The Pay It Forward program has been helpful to families in need of items such a therapy supplies, trampolines, therapy balls, bikes and more. Donations are accepted.
