RACINE — A child support and family court FAQ presentation will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 21, at the Racine Unified School District’s Administrative Service Center, 3109 Mount Pleasant St.

The FAQ is designed for professionals and volunteers who work with families and will answer questions such as: What exactly is the difference between custody and placement in Wisconsin?; If two unmarried people have a baby, do they have to go to court to get paternity and child support established; What if a mother won’t let the father see his child — does this end his obligation to pay child support?; When a parent re-marries does his/her new spouse’s income get included for calculating child support?; and What is the best way to get accurate information about child support and family court?

Besides the panel presentation, scenarios of typical situations will be discussed along with an opportunity for questions. Participants will help develop strategies for how the information can be shared with parents and others who are impacted by child support.

The registration deadline is June 18 with registration information at http://racine.uwex.edu or contact Samantha Perry, Racine Kenosha Community Action Agency at (262) 637-8377 or sperry@rkcaa.org.

If special accommodations are required, notify Bev Baker, Racine County UW-Extension at (262) 767-2917 or beverlee.baker@goracine.org.
