The Bennett Barn in Watertown was the setting Aug. 26 when Hannah Henderson and Patrick Testin were married. Joseph Dougherty officiated during the 3:30 p.m. ceremony. The couple recited their vows while holding a stone, which is a Celtic ritual called “the oathing of the stone.” Each guest was given a stone to hold during this ritual which were blessed by the Rev. Javier Guativa.
The bride’s parents are William and Mary Henderson of Raymond. The bride is the granddaughter of Janet Henderson of Mount Pleasant, Joseph and Janis Filippone of Mount Pleasant and the late Alvin J. Henderson.
Parents of the groom are Matt and Paula Testin of Marinette. The groom is the grandson of Gordon and Ruth Simpson of Marquette, Mich., and the late Blair and Pam Testin.
Maid of honor was Laura Gleason. Bridesmaids were Abby Jacobson, Melissa Moss, Kristyn Demuysere, Jessica Vrinich and Reilly (bride and groom’s dog). Junior bridesmaid was Kayla Henderson, cousin of the bride. Flower girl was Sawyer O’Brien, goddaughter of the bride.
Best man was Shea Oelfke. Groomsmen were BJ Henderson (bride’s brother), Logan Rathgen (groom’s cousin), Chad Menacher and Trevor Menacher. Ring bearer was Sullivan O’Brien, godson of the bride.
The reception was held at The Bennett Barn in Watertown. The flowers for the wedding were homegrown by family and friends and arranged by Abby Jacobson, making each bouquet and corsage unique.
The Testins live in Stevens Point. Hannah is director of advancement at Pacelli Catholic Schools. Patrick is a senator for Wisconsin’s 24th District.
