Kathy Stauffacher and James Barke were united in marriage Aug. 2 at American Lutheran Church in Bourbonnais, Ill. The Rev. Tom Hillertz officiated during the 2 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Roberta Stauffacher of Darlington and the late Eugene Stauffacher. The bride is the granddaughter of Jean Mottley of Darlington; the late Bob Mottley; and the late Hazel and Edwin Stauffacher.
Parents of the groom are David and Vicki Barke of Racine. The groom is the grandson of Bob and Jean Passehl of Ruskin, Fla; Walter Barke of Racine; and the late Erna Barke.
Matron of honor was Gina Les, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Kate Brattlie, Stephanie Kumm (groom's sister), Lisa Kemps, Erica Dose, Danya Sasada, Nicole Hoida and Melissa Egan (bride's cousin).
Best men were Tony Hetland, groom's friend, and Matt Griffiths, groom's cousin. Groomsmen were Randy Kumm (groom's brother-in-law), Tim Stauffacher (bride's brother), Tom Les (bride's brother-in-law), Mike Langlois, Corey Storbeck (groom's cousin) and Eric Destache.
Anthony Ervin and Adrian Langlois were the ushers.
The reception was held at the Quality Inn and Suites in Bradley, Ill. The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica.
They are living in Woodridge, Ill. Kathy, 29, is an accountant at Blackman-Kallick in Chicago. James, 28, is a teacher at Dirksen Middle School in Calumet City, Ill.
