STURTEVANT—Age 76, of Sturtevant, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Ascension All Saints Hospital.
Ron was born September 6, 1941 to William and Elizabeth (nee Buddle) Spear in Ironwood, Michigan. His early life was spent in the Hurley area. At the age of 17 he enlisted and served in the U.S. Army. After getting out of service he worked as an alcohol distributor around the Hurley area, and then moved to California where he managed a Firestone Tire Company for 15 years. Following that, he relocated to Kenosha where he was employed by American Motors, first on the assembly line and then in the maintenance department, retiring after 30 plus years. Ron was an avid hunter and enjoyed going hunting with his cousins and extended family up in the Hurley area. He was known as Uncle Ronnie to many because of the abundance of the love in his heart, which he freely shared. He enjoyed filling people’s lives with love, joy and laughter. He was also known to be an incredible BS-er and a great cook.
Ron is survived by his children: Rachel Spear and Corinne (Fiancé Isaias Gonzales) Spear and a granddaughter Desiree Spear. He is further survived by his sister Susan Spear, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and a brother William Spear.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 7:00PM at the Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday from 4:00PM until 7:00PM, at the funeral home. Burial, with full military honors will take place on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at noon.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses at Ascension All Saints Hospital and also, his 2nd family, the staff at Castlewood Restaurant, for all their care and compassion.
