Dodie, a homemaker, later enjoyed many years of employment in the Children’s Department of the Racine Public Library. She was also an active member of St. Rita’s Catholic Church, a charter member of the Ladies of Columbus, and an Ambassador for RAMAC.
Except for 5 years in Chicago and a 3-year relocation to The Netherlands on a business venture, the Potthoff’s lived in Racine for 45 years. They relocated to Florida in July 2000 and later moved to Summerlin, Nevada.
She was always a fun-loving woman of good cheer. She lived her faith and her life is a great influence to those who knew and loved her. She often talked about building memories, which she did well with each individual, and that is where she will live on in us. This is what will be passed on and kept for generations to come.
Cremation Internment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Please join us for a gathering in honor of the passing of Dodie Potthoff.
