Robert A. Rivers of Racine celebrated his 90th birthday during a small party in his honor with family and friends.
Rivers was born on Oct. 14, 1927, in Milwaukee. The family moved to Racine when he was a young child.
He married Florence Wells on Sept. 1, 1951, in St. Lucy Catholic Church.
Rivers was a meat cutter at A & P Grocery Store for 30 years. He retired from Dumore Corp. in 1990.
Rivers is a member of Roma Lodge and enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing cards.
He is a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church.
Rivers has five children: Kathy (Steve) Abernethy of Burlington; Bill, Tom (Connie) and Ann (Mike) Gillis, all of Racine, and the late Gary (Theresa Rivers-Meyer of Racine) Rivers. He has 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
