Mr. and Mrs. Larry Leonhardt of Franksville celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Dec. 2 during a dinner in their honor at the home of their granddaughter in Union Grove.
Leonhardt and the former Carol Whitefoot were married on Dec. 7, 1957, in Kenosha. The couple has lived in Racine for 59 years.
Leonhardt, 84, served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
He was employed by the Racine Unified School District and enjoys remodeling projects.
Mrs. Leonhardt, 83, was employed by M & I Bank in Racine.
She enjoys landscaping and being outside in her beautiful yard.
The couple enjoy working as a team on their many remodeling projects and spending time at their cottage of 20-plus years in the north woods with their family.
The Leonhardts have two children: Jean (Scott) Kogutkiewicz of Racine and Joan (Dave) Perttula of Salem. The couple has four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
