The Racine Theatre Guild is under construction, but we promise that all of the changes are going to make our 2016/17 season a season to remember.
In July we began construction on a new front entrance that will be safer and more accessible for our RTG audience. The project will be done in time for opening night of “Lend Me a Tenor” Sept. 16. This project includes:
Re-grading the property to all for a less steep entrance.
Moving the main stairway to the east side (front) of the building.
Adding a second staircase for ease of pedestrian traffic flow.
Adding a furnished patio to use for classes, meetings, social events and rentals that will generate revenue.
RTG is excited to finalize these changes so we can focus on our 79th season:
“Lend Me a Tenor,” Sept. 16-Oct. 2
“Kitchen Witches,” Oct. 21-Nov 6
Mary Poppins,” Dec. 9-18 (limited run; not part of subscription package)
“Exit Laughing,” Jan. 12-29
“That Darn Plot,” Feb. 24-March 12
“The Iliad, The Odyssey, and All of Greek Mythology in 99 Minutes or Less” (limited run; not part of subscription package), March 31-April 9
“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” May 12-28
Dates and times are subject to change.
