YORKVILLE — The 90th Racine County Fair will be held July 25-29 at the Racine County Fairgrounds, 19805 Durand Ave. (Highway 11).

Opening Day on Wednesday, July 25, features goats on parade at 3 p.m., crowning of Little King/Little Queen at 3:30 p.m. and crowning of the Fairest of the Fair at 5 p.m. There will be judging of various animals and exhibits both in the Junior Department as well as the Open Class Division. The truck and tractor pull takes place at 6:30 p.m. in the grandstand with a combine demo derby immediately following. The Fair Idol semifinals begin at 7 p.m.

Thursday, July 26, is Children’s and Senior Citizens Day with special midway promotions, kiddie tractor pull and games and entertainment for children. Rock superstar Ted Nugent will perform on the grandstand at 8 p.m. Grandstand seating is $5 and track seating is $10 (bring your own chair for track seating)

Friday, July 27, features a truck and tractor pull at 6:30 p.m. The Steve Meisner Polka Band will perform in the Activity Building at 2:30 p.m. Fair Idol finals will be held at 7 p.m.

Saturday, July 28, features lawnmower races at 9 a.m., livestock auction at 9:30 a.m. Country recording artist Justin Moore will perform on the grandstand at 8 p.m. Country duo Bomshel is the opening band. Grandstand seating is $5 and track seating is $10 (bring your own chair for track seating). There will be continuous entertainment on the Runzheimer International Stage from noon to close each day. One of the highlights will be the Kids From Wisconsin performing.

The fair wouldn’t be the same without the two demolition derbies at 2 and 6 p.m. Sunday, July 29. Earlier that day is the garden tractor pull at 8 a.m.

Daily entertainment includes Zoppe Circus, Brunon Blaszak’s Royal Bengal Tiger Show, Swifty Swine Racing Pigs, KidBuck$ Game Show, Kids are People Too, Wild World of Animals and a free petting zoo.

The fair is open each day from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Admission is $8 for ages 14 and older, and $6 for ages 8-13 and seniors. There is no charge for children 7 and younger. On Wednesday, July 25, people who bring two nonperishable food items will receive one-half off one adult admission from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is free.
