Sixtheenth Street Studios welcomes the public to the Artists Reception for the inagural Juried Art Exhibit in Gallery on 16th. 

Light refreshments by Olde Madrid Restaurant as well as Lopez Bakery will be served. This event is free to the public. 

Artists from Chicago Milwaukee corridor entered this juried show in early January and 46 works of art by 27 artists were accepted into the exhibit by juror Chet Griffith of Artworks, the Pencillarium and Left of the Lake Gallery. The competition was fierce as the skill exhibited in the entries was amazing. 

At the Artists Reception awards will be given to the artists that were chosen for first, second and third prizes. 

Exhibiting artists include: Alex Tomsett, Tom Wilcox, Karen Broman, Carlotta Miller, Karen Sako, Janette Louden, Yelena Patskevich, Kelly Witte, Colleen Steenhagen, Celia Schulz, René Amado, Susan Sorenson, Sarah Andersen, Steven Hopkins, Lance Raichert, Amy Lynn Ross, Cathy Yonker, Magda Bowen, Julie Schlick, Robert Hafferman, Brian Breider, Jeff Baenen , Sue Lukas, Michael Litewski, Donna Sands, Kathy Kerner, Shelby Nesmith and Trace Chiodo! The Gallery on 16th is open Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or by appointment.

The Gallery on 16th has been developed to be the creative exhibit space of the 16th Street Studios. It has a chic industrial feel and aging floors with northern light. Resident artists show their artwork throughout the year in various shows. Sixteenth Street Studios and the Gallery on 16th are a nonprofit entity funded in part by an ArtSeed Grant from the Racine Arts Council and additionally by the artists of 16th Street Studios.
