The H.F. Johnson Gallery of Art at Carthage College presents its newest art exhibit 'Clear and Present.' Admission to the gallery is free, and no advance registration is needed.

The exhibition opens Jan. 8 and will be on display until March 2 on the Carthage campus, 2001 Alford Park Drive. An opening reception for the exhibit will be held in the H.F. Johnson Gallery of Art on Thursday, Jan. 11 from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

The gallery is open Monday through Friday from noon to 5 p.m. (with additional evening hours from 6-8 p.m. on Thursdays) and Saturday from 1-4 p.m.

'Clear and Present' is an exhibition from Tempe (Arizona) artist Kristin Bauer and Denver artist Paul Owen Weiner. It aims to dissect the visual vocabulary of language through a continuum of printed words from the concrete to the unknowable.
