Library offers 'Pimp My Cart' contest

RACINE

- The Racine Public Library, 75 Seventh St., invites students in grades 7-12 to participate in the "Pimp My Cart" contest.

The library's book carts are in jeopardy of becoming boring and obsolete. With the 2007 Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour arriving in the city in June, the library is looking for support from the community.

On Saturday, June 2, from 2-4 p.m. the library will host a "Pimp My Cart" contest for interested teams of local teens. The library will provide the carts and assorted supplies, teams provide manpower and creativity. A winner, selected by the library's librarians, will receive a grand prize and all entries will be on display during the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour from noon to 9 p.m. June 4.

Registration is required and may be made by contacting Becky Spika at the library at (262) 636-9245. Students may form teams of up to four people and may bring extra supplies if desired.
